Busy, Busy, Busy Week!

June 8th, 2009

It’s been a busy week of activity for me. Here’s what’s up:

This weeks “Monday Motivator”:

” A goal is not always meant to be reached. It often serves simply as something to aim at.”
-Found on Twitter

I cannot stress enough, the importance of setting goals, and I’m not the best goal setter… (LOL) :)

But, I’ve accomplished so much more these past few weeks simply because my mentor forced me to take the time to plan out where I wanted to go and how I was going to get there. (Accountablility is a big factor too.)

From the outside looking in, it may appear that things are not happening, but that would be wrong. I’m pretty much on target… if not on time. LOL.

The point is, you have to have something to aim at. Hence the saying “shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.” If you’re goals are reasonable and attainable, you’ll hit the mark more often then not.

Here’s what’s going on today:

Free Affiliate Tools

I’ve (finally) finished the free affiliate tools site (that I had no idea I was going to be doing when I started this mentoring stuff.) It’s by invitation only and you are here by cordially invited. Go to www.ShellyJo.com/freetools

The first wave of tools are installed. This is a site I will be adding items to regularly. Yes, you can make money with this stuff. (Affiliate Program Included)

Twitter – is addictive!

I now have three accounts:

ShellyJodotcom
(As recommended by mentor. Focus is free affiliate tools.)

PackratPreneur
(As recommended by me… I like lot’s of other sites.)

ShellyLeroux
(This one is where I post more personal and family oriented stuff.)

If you’re using Twitter please follow me. I will follow you back because I believe communication is a two way street.

If you’re not using Twitter bookmark these sites so you can keep up with the little stuff… which could become big stuff… that you would want to know about.

Enjoy the rest of the week!

P.S. Since I’ve got your attention I just want to remind you to do some surfing at PrizeHunters today.

Are You Certain To Advance?

June 1st, 2009

Here’s this weeks “Monday Motivator”:

” The person who is certain to advance is the one who is too big for his place, who has a clear concept of what he wants to be, who knows that he can become what he wants to be, and who is determined to be what he wants to be.”

-From the book “The Science of Getting Rich”

Can you relate to this statement? I certainly can!

I’m finally doing what I love most and it is truely awesome. :)

Here’s what’s going on today:

I’ve added a twitter badge to my three blogs:

According to my mentor this will keep me more focused and you more informed. (I TOLD you he wanted me to make daily posts!)

I signed up last night. It’s fun so far… Let’s see how long it takes before it totally distracts me. LOL.

Lastly, I’m putting the finishing touches on a new section of my personal website where I’m giving away free affiliate tools.

You’ll find things like custom designed web templates and unique twitter backgrounds that I’ve created (click here to see mine). There’s more to come… I’ve got hundreds of them on my hard drive! But, this is the first time I’m making them available to anyone else. (It was my mentors idea.) I’ve also added a few good training tutorials I found.

My “secret stash” page will be finished in less then 24 hours… I’ll announce it on Twitter when it’s completely ready to go.

I’m about 24 hours behind schedule for phase one… but I’m more then 24 hours “ahead of schedule” for phase two… if that makes any sense! LOL.

Enjoy the rest of the week!

How To Enrich The World

May 18th, 2009

Here’s this weeks “Monday Motivator”:

“You are not here merely to make a living.

You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement.

You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand.”

-Woodrow T. Wilson

To enrich the world does not mean doing the impossible. It can be done in small ways too – a sincere smile, a cordial “Thank you”, an act of kindness.

Enjoy the rest of the week!
