Suspended?

November 11th, 2008

“What do you mean I’ve been suspended? I didn’t do anything wrong!” That may be the first thing that goes through your head when you receive a message from a traffic exchange with the word “suspended” in the subject line.

Not to worry. It’s not like when you’re in school and you get suspended. Getting suspended from school is meant to punish you for doing something wrong. But, when you receive that “dreaded” message from a traffic exchange, like PrizeHunters.com, it usually means something totally different.

Traffic exchanges have their own terminology:

Active- This means you have met all the requirements necessary to get your websites shown in the traffic exchange rotation (not including hit credits).

Inactive- means you haven’t surfed the required amount of pages to be considered “active” by the traffic exchange. The message usually tells you how many websites you’ll need to surf to become active. Your websites do not go into rotation until you become active.

Many traffic exchanges require free members to surf a specific number of websites every month to remain active.

Suspended- This means you haven’t surfed or logged in for a specific amount of time so your websites have been removed from rotation until you qualify as “active” again. It also means that your account could be deleted because it appears to have been “abandoned”.

Some traffic exchanges will automatically “cull” suspended accounts on a regular basis. Because of this, your suspended account could be in danger of being deleted if you don’t do something about it. To correct the situation all you need to do is login to your account and surf enough pages to be “active” again.

Banned- This is the one that means you’ve done something wrong and have been kicked out!

So, if you’ve received that dreaded “suspended” message from PrizeHunters.com don’t wait another day! Login to your account and do a little surfing. That’s all it takes to get back in the black. :)

Talk About A Duhh Moment!

October 3rd, 2008

I just had a “Duhh” moment!

It seems I had one of the Pro configuration columns set wrong in the system. I thought I was assigning 500 credits for each new signup. I didn’t realize the system read it as 500 multiplied by whatever the free signup bonus is!

I did a double take when I noticed 25,000 credits for signing up a new member!

My bad! :(

I apolygise if this discourages you from sponsoring. But, heaven’s to Betsy, I was giving away the house!

It appears to be “all fixed” now.

Please drop me a support ticket if you notice little goofs like this. I’d appreciate it. Thanks.

Happy Hunting!

More Than A Facelift

October 3rd, 2008

PrizeHunters.com has received a new look inside and out! I know it’s only been a couple months since Prize Hunters got a quick make-over… but this new look is going to stay around for a while.

I have to give credit for this new look to Cindy of TrafficBunnies.com. She encouraged me to look around for new graphics for the site to give it an updated look. She even told me where to find the images!  I took that advice and when I found some images that jumped off the page at me… well, they became the new header and splash pages.

Funny thing is - the images I found were not what I went looking for. I was still looking for something along the lines of what we already had… cartoon hunters, treasure boxes, and such. But when I came across these new images they just grabbed me by the eyeballs and screamed, “Use Me!”

I still have a few more things to get done to complete the look, but the major things are finished.

Why not check everything out right now? Just click on PrizeHunters.com and see the front page. Then login (or join) and see the members area. Then surf a spell and check out the new surfbar.
